| "I prefer my Jesus' with Handlebar Mustaches" |
I plan to hang this piece with my artist statement on my title wall. I have affixed it to its vintage predecessor- a slice of wood with the bark on it- and I have resin coated over it again, as a nod in the direction of wood-slice jesus paintings at thrift stores everywhere. I did make one addition however. I forged the autograph of 'Jesus Christ' below his chin/neck, with the caption, 'All the Best!' adorning the tongue-in-cheek piece. I saw that caption on a Kevin Bacon autograph I have saved on this computer. Because he is awesome.
